Saffron has loved movement since she can remember. Through her turbulent childhood, she explored the many ways of moving the body to keep a healthy mind. She was a junior lifeguard as a child, a swimmer in High School, has hiked over 400 miles through the Sierra Mountains and started practicing Yoga at the age of 18. When she found Yoga she realized what she had been doing her whole life; finding peace through movement. At 21 when she became a certified Yoga Teacher in San Francisco she began teaching classes mixing yoga with expressive movement as a means of Physical and Mental Therapy. She continued to explore dance styles such as West African, Ballet, Aerial and Hula Hoop Dance and studyied Anatomy and Physiology, Yoga for emotional growth and Yoga for at-risk youth, at 24 she moved to Nicaragua to Surf and practice Yoga where she met Amy Rowland, kindred
Surf Circus Yoga enthusiast and Co-Owner of Magnific Rock Surf & Yoga Hotel. Saffron and Amy completed their Partner Acrobatics teacher training together in Mexico and began developing and teaching a Circus inspired Yoga style called CircAsana. She Co-Produced and choreographed 4 full Circus shows in addition to running Surf, Circus & Yoga Retreats at Magnific Rock and is now studying physical therapy to continue to help people through the medium movement.
